Disney World’s All Star Movies Resort

This huge value resort consists of almost 2000 rooms housed in five different buildings. Each building is themed on a popular Disney movie: 101 Dalmatians, Toy Story, Fantasia, Herbie – the Love Bug and the Mighty Ducks.

The resort theming is OTT in a way that only a Walt Disney World Resort hotel could be. The exteriors of each building features giant sized characters from the much loved Disney movie it is themed with. Features include, giant Dalmatians and a mega sized Herbie.

There are no site down restaurants here – only food courts.

Our opinion: The room prices here are cheap – making it affordable to stay on Disney World property. As with the other value resorts, the rooms are only 260 square feet, making them much smaller than the moderate and deluxe disney hotels.

Yet, these resorts are extremely popular with families, due to the colourful theming and low prices for staying on Disney property. An efficient bus service runs to all Walt Disney World’s theme parks.

If you are not planning to spend much time at your resort, and don’t mind limited facilities, as a trade off for staying in an on property Disney Resort then this resort might suit you down to the ground.

But, if you are looking for more amenities to enjoy, outside of the theme parks, you may be better to save up for a better class of resort, or stay at one of the excellent offsite properties outside of Walt Disney World, for the same price and better facilities.

Pros

Stay inside Walt Disney World at a low price.

The OTT Disney World theming will appeal to many children

Excellent bus service to all the parks.

Cons

Extremely small rooms.

No pool slides and no additional activities, such as boating and cycle rental, which are available at the deluxe and moderate disney hotels.

Poor choices for dining – only a food court, so you would need to eat in the parks, or face getting tired of your dining choices – unless you have a car.

Theming may be a little too OTT for some.
